"American Reflections: Demuth Invitational" at the Demuth Museum, March 28 -June 28, 2026

I will be showing my photograph, No Kings Day, Lancaster PA, 2025, in an exhibition entitled American Reflections: Demuth Invitational at the Demuth Museum in Lancaster, PA from March 28-June 28, 2026. As the United States approaches its 250th year, local artists reflect on their American experience both as an individual and as part of their chosen communities. In celebrating our unique stories, we hope to inspire reflection and optimism for the next 250 years.

I made this photograph at the No Kings Day Protest in Lancaster in June 2025. For me, it is a testament to the spirit of engagement that demonstrates a community caring about the state of our democracy and a willingness to get involved and exercise our right to free speech in order to make the improvements necessary to help ensure a better future for all Americans. As an added refinement, the most prominent placard evokes the year of our independence, 1776, as an acknowledgement of this significant anniversary of the Semiquincentennial.
